Specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Edward Berzin understands the
significance of the decision to have plastic surgery and offers his patients the best
options and latest information before finalizing any plans. "I never schedule surgery
before meeting with the patient at least two times," expresses Dr. Berzin. "I spend an
extraordinary amount of time with my patients during their consultations. We discuss in
great detail their goods and desires, and I educate them about possible procedures to meet
these goals. All of my patients receive reading material, video information, and internet
information to review before making any decisions. We also incorporate into the
consultation a computer-imaging program that allows my patients to view generated images of
their possible post-operative results. This process is very lengthy, but I strongly feel
my patients benefits from it."
Because Dr. berzin spends such a great deal of time forming trusting relationships with
his patients, he is often source of referral for many other physicians in the Houston area.
His aesthetic plastic surgery practice has exploded mostly based on patient referral, and
he has applied his aesthetic talents to breast cancer reconstruction and facial skin cancer
reconstruction.
Aside from managing a widely successful private practice, Dr. Berzin as a clinical faculty
member, is very active in the education of plastic surgery residents at Baylor College of
Medicine and Methodist Hospital. He is also involved in many national and local
medical associations, serves on the board of Houston Achievement Place, and is often an
invited medical expert on the radio.
Dr. Edward Berzin is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He received
his medical doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in 1994. He went to New York for
the general surgery portion of his training, and then returned to Baylor in 1997 to
complete his plastic surgery residency along with a fellowship in microsurgery and
